Universal Ticker helps you keep track of things like the latest news, upcoming birthdays, or music playing by displaying whatever you want in a scrolling ticker - either in the menubar or in a floating window. The actual content is provided by plug-ins, third party applications or by yourself using the AppleScript interface.

- Time - time and date
- iTunes - current iTunes track
- Battery - battery status
- Birthdays - birthdays from your address book
- Mail - count of unread mail in Mail.app
- Text - lines from any text file
